A pretty wedding took place at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer at 1:15 P. M. Wednesday, June 27, 1934 when Miss Gertrude Wolter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. R. The church was decorated with pink, blue and white streamers.

The wedding march was played by Miss Frances Matter, and the song "Let Us Walk With Jesus" was sung by those present.

The bride was attended by Miss Eva Kalkofen, Greenwood, intimate friend of the bride, as bridesmaid and Mrs. Norma Breheim, Ogema, intimate friend of the bride and groom as matron of honor.

The groom was attended by Mr. Ben Pieper, Loyal, cousin of the groom, as best man, and Mr. Albert Breheim, Ogema, as groomsman.

The bride was given in marriage by her father and was gowned in a floor length white satin and lace dress and a silk veil arranged in a drooping cap effect trimmed with pearl. Her pumps were also of white. She carried a colonial bouquet of tea roses, carnations, orange blossoms and ferns.

The bridesmaid wore an ankle length dress of blue silk crepe and wore a shoulder bouquet of tea roses, carnations and orange blossoms.

The matron of honor wore pink organdie, ankle length. Her corsage was similar to that of the bridesmaid.

The groom wore a suit of navy blue.

A dinner was served at 5:30 P. M. at the home of the bride’s parents. Covers were laid for 60. The home was decorated with pink, blue and white streamers, with potted ferns and flowers.

The guests from away were: Mr. and Mrs. Carl Walters and family from Elmore, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Carl Plockelman and family, Mr. and Mrs. George Lindau from Dorchester and Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Oelkie and family, from Medford.

The bride was a graduate of Spencer High School, Class of ’33, and the Neillsville Teacher’s Training Class of ’34.

Mr. and Mrs. Rohloff have gone to housekeeping on a farm 7 miles north east of Loyal operated by the groom and his brother. They are home to all their friends.
