Atkins, Frank H. (26 MAY 1908 - 17 MAR 1916)

Frank H., son of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Atkins, died at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, Friday, Mar. 17th, 1916, of obstruction of the bowels.

Frank was born at Bright, Wis., May 26th, 1908, from which place his parents moved in July 1911, onto the Andrews farm in the town of Hull (Marathon Co.). He was a healthy, rugged lad until within a few days when he was suddenly taken ill and removed to the hospital, where it was hoped that his life might be saved by an operation, but he only survived the operation a few hours. He leaves to mourn his early death, his parents, two brothers and one sister.

The funeral was held from the home in the town of Hull, Tuesday afternoon, Mar. 21st, Rev. R.R. Braddick officiating, interment following at the Colby Cemetery.

Those from out of town who attended the funeral were: Mrs. W. C. Laib, mother, and Mrs. Ida Daisey, Mrs. Mary Voss, Mrs. Tena Bakken, and Mr. Wilbur Laib, sisters and brother of Mrs. Atkins, all of Black River Falls.
