Victoria Stacy was born in Wilmington, Essex Co., N.Y., Nov 4th, 1860; she came to Colby with her mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Hickok, in the fall of 1875. She was married Jan. 16th, 1876, to Wm. Parkhill, and resided on his farm in the town of Hull, Marathon Co., Wis., until 1898, when they moved to Thorp, Clark Co.

The children, who with the husband, survive her are, Mrs. Sadie Hosley of Boise, Idaho; George of Thorp; Mrs. Stella Austin of Donald; Mrs. Claude Deidrick of Polly; Mrs. Berna Holden of Cornell; Mildred and Melvin of Thorp, and Wallace of the town of Hull.

The remains arrived here Tuesday morning and were met by relatives and friends and a delegation of G.A.R. and W.R.C. members, loaded down with flowers, who escorted them to the cemetery.

On the website Indians of Clark County, Wisconsin the marriage of my great-grand parents is listed. I am very interested because we did not know of any Indian relations. I would be thrilled if someone could provide me anymore information on Victoria Stacy (sometimes spelled Stacey).
