Miller, Palma A. (7 May 1923 - 22 Aug. 2005)

WITHEE - Palma A. Miller, 82, Withee, died Monday, Aug. 22, 2005 at Clark County Health Care Center, Owen, Wis.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005, at Nazareth Lutheran Church, Withee. Burial will be in Nazareth Lutheran Cemetery, Withee. The Rev. Bryan Anderson will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Rod Andreasen, Otto Engel, Jesse Miller, Tom Miller, Mike Kitze and Al Jalowicz.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church. Maurina/Community Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Palma was born May 7, 1923, in Withee to Carl and Thrya (Hansen) Andreasen. Palma and Vernon Miller were married Sept. 29, 1945, at Nazareth Lutheran Church. He died Dec. 12, 2002.

The couple farmed in the town of Hixon, Clark County, from 1951 to 1970. Palma also did office work for Owen Clinic and Badger Shooters in Owen, Wis. She lived in Withee the past two years. Palma was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church, where she served as secretary of the Women's Club and was a member of the Quilting Club.

Palma is survived by her son, Don (Evelyn) Miller of Rhinelander; her grandchildren, Sarah (Dan) Lauffer of Madison, Rebekah (Kevin) Krautkramer of Waukesha, Jesse (Melissa) Miller of Horicon, Aaron Miller of Kuwait and Thomas (Dana) Miller of Neosho; five great-grandchildren, Samara, Ray, Leslie, Natalie and Riley; one brother, Norman (Charlotte) Andreasen of Withee; and two sisters, Roma (Richard) Peterson of Circle Pines, Minn., and Esther (Don) Osterby of Wausau.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernon; an infant son, John, in 1951; and a son, James, in 1982.

A memorial in Palma's name will be established at a later date.
