Bartell, Mrs. M.A. (? - 4 MAY 1914)

Monday afternoon the Phonograph received a phone message fro W.D. Bartell of Minneapolis, stating this his mother, Mrs. M.A. Bartell, had died at her home in Milwaukee, and that he and wife would start for that city immediately. Tuesday evening we received the following from him from Milwaukee:

"Mother died Monday morning at about 6:45, of heart failure. Dudley goes to work at 6 a.m. and mother got his breakfast for him. About 6:45 her sister came to the house and found her on the bed. She passed away quietly and peacefully apparently, while reading. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 2:30, and mother will rest in Forest Home Cemetery."

Mrs. Bartell was the widow of Wm. H. Bartell and was one of the early pioneers of Colby, Clark Co., Wis. She moved with her son Dudley to Milwaukee a little over two years ago. She leaves hosts of friends here who deeply regret her early death and who will join in extending sincere and heartfelt sympathy to her sons and other relatives.
