Reinikainen, Maxine M. (9 NOV 1929 - 9 MAY 2006)

Maxine Reinikainen, 76, Marshfield. passed into eternal life Tuesday, May 9, 2006, in the palliative care unit of Saint Joseph’s Hospital, surrounded by her loved ones. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The Rev. Robert Brandt will officiate. Interment of ashes will be in the Brooklawn Cemetery.

Maxine Mathilda Reinikainen was born Nov. 9, 1929, in Marshfield, to Ernest and Blanche (nee Runnels) Breheim. She graduated from Marshfield High School. She married Veikko Reinikainen on Aug. 12, 1950, in Marshfield. Besides being a loving mother and homemaker, she worked at Land O’ Lakes Inc., Spencer, until the time of her retirement. She cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed fishing, baking and watching TV. She was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband, Veikko; their children, Diana (Don) Redezke, Eau Claire, Gary (Fay) Reinikainen, Prairie Farm, Richard (Sue) Reinikainen, Cedarburg, Ronda (Lenny) Wehrman, Loyal, Judy (Greg) Gisvold, Waupaca, and Melissa (Ken) Darr, Pittsville; 13 grandchildren, Tammy, Tracy, Matthew, Kevin, Michael, Michael, Patrick, Jason, Tyler, Emily, Natalie, Allie, and William; 11 great-grandchildren, Gavin, Gabriel, Gannon, Bailey, Blake, Kennedy, Lane, Faith, Noelle, Ryan and his future baby brother; brothers, Allen (Darlene) Breheim, Westfield, Ronald Breheim, Moorseshill, Ind., and Karl (Caroline) Breheim, Mobile, Ala.; one sister, Nadine Weischelt, Milltown; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials in her name can be designated to Immanuel Lutheran Church.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the critical care unit and palliative care staff for the loving attention that was extended to her.

Hansen Funeral Home, Marshfield, assisted the family with arrangements.
