Zschernitz, Hinrich (23 Sept. 1877 - 14 June 1937)

Hinrich Zschernitz passed away after a two month illness at his home on Oak St., Monday night, June 14, at 8:50. He was born at Hamburg, Germany, on Sept. 23, 1877, and came to this country with his parents when he was a young man.

He lived in Chicago for two years, and then he moved with his parents to South Pine Valley where he lived until he was married in 1919. Then he moved to Neillsville where he lived until the time of his death.

He learned the masonry trade and was a builder and contractor for 33 years.

He is survived by his wife, and son Curtiss who are at home, two sisters, Mrs. Martha Hachman, of Chicago and Mrs. Bertha Wildish, Neillsville, three brothers, Robert of Milwaukee and Carl and Edmond of Neillsville, Wis.

The funeral will be held at the home at 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Thursday, Rev. Wm. Bauman officiating.
