Bohac, Jason A. (February 19, 1986 - May 7, 2006)

Jason A Bohac, age 20, of Hatfield died Sunday, May 7, 2006, in the town of Albion, Jackson County, as a result of a motorcycle accident.

The son of Melanie (Mitskogen) and David Bohac, Jason Andrew Bohac was born on February 19, 1986, in La Crosse. He was raised in Black River Falls and the Neillsville/Hatfield area. He attended Neillsville schools and was a member of the Class of 2004.

He enlisted in the Wisconsin National Guard in 2004 and served with the 1158th Transportation Company in Kuwait for one year. While serving in Kuwait, Jason was involved with numerous missions to Iraq. He returned from Kuwait January 2006.

Jason was currently employed by Simmons Roofing of Alma Center and was serving with the 1158th Transportation Company, Wisconsin National Guard.

He enjoyed four wheeling, motorcycling, hunting, fishing and music.

Survivors include his parents, Melanie and David Bohac of Hatfield; two sisters, Leanna (Brian Cernohous) Kurth of River Falls and Samara (Tyson Clarke) Kurth of Lodi, CA; his girlfriend, Nicole Esser of Alma Center; maternal grandparents, Alice (Dan) Nelson of Beloit and Philip Mitskogen of Black River Falls; paternal grandmother, Jeanette Bohac of Hixton; aunts, uncles and numerous other relatives and friends.

Jason was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Donald Bohac.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 11, 2006, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Neillsville, and burial with military honors will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Rev. Fr. Woodrow Pace will officiate.

Casket bearers will be Kevin, Daniel, Dustin and Travis Mitskogen, Adam Scholze and Carl Morabido.

Relatives and friends are invited for visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Buswell Funeral Home (www.buswellfuneralhome.com), Black River Falls, and at the church Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until services. There will be a public prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

The family prefers that memorials be given to The Highground at Neillsville, Wis.
