Smith, Mary Erminie (19 Sept. 1871 - 22 March 1937)

Mary Erminie Bunday was born at Packwaukee, Wisconsin on Sept. 19, 1871, where she grew to young womanhood, and on April 10, 1899 was united in marriage to Luman Smith.

She died on March 22, 1937 at her home in Granton, Wisconsin where the family has lived since November 2, 1902.

She is survived by her husband, two sons, Edgar and Cedric, and three daughters, Marion Whitney, Frances Stetler and Winifred Rausch, A daughter, Maude Humphrey, preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 1933. She has five granddaughters and one grandson.

A woman of unusual ability, although frail and for many years in poor health, she left her imprint on her family and the community in which she lived.

Funeral services were held from the home three and one-half miles northeast of Granton and from the Granton Union Church Thursday afternoon, March 25, 1937. Rev. E. P. Stone of Neillsville, pastor of the church officiated. Burial was in the Windfall Cemetery.
