Williams, Kathie Jean (July 22, 1951 - June 27, 2003)

Kathie Jean Williams, age 51, of Conway, AR, formerly of Marshfield, passed away on June 27 at her residence.

Kathie was born July 22, 1951 in Marshfield, the daughter of Richard S and Bernice G (Strebing) Thompson of Lindsey. Kathie graduated from Marshfield High School in 1969. She worked at Weyerhauser, and Norwood Health Center in Marshfield then moved to Plover, where she married Wayne Schutz Sr. They were later divorced.

Kathie moved to Conway, AR, where she worked at Tokusen Industries. On September 28, 2002, she married Lonnie Williams. Kathie enjoyed outdoor recreation, spending time hunting and fishing. She also enjoyed cooking for her family.

Kathie is survived by her parents, Richard and Bernice Thompson of Marshfield; her husband, Lonnie Williams of Conway, AR; six children, Gerri (Jorge) Villalobos of Stevens Point; Audrey (Shawn) Wyrick of Little Rock, AR; George Thompson of Wisconsin Rapids; Angela Schutz of Conway, AR; Wayne Schutz Jr. and Wayland (Toni) Schutz of Cathage, MO; and 14 grandchildren; three sisters, Mary (William) Kastern of Chili; Connie (Ronald) Bredemann of Hewitt; Amy (Craig) Bolz of Withee; and four brothers, Daniel (Jodee) Thompson, Peter Thompson, and Rick Thompson of Marshfield; Melvin Thompson of Withee; and a grandmother, Anna Strebing, Marshfield.

She is preceded in death by a brother, Samuel L Thompson, and grandparents.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 3, at the Hansen Funeral Chapel in Marshfield, with the Rev. Jon Guenther officiating. Maldon Plank will provide music and Duane Helgerson will serve as soloist. Burial will be in the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery in the Township of Cameron. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to service time on Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Kathie’s name can be made to the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church new building fund.
