William Gaetz

Colby - William Gaetz, 75, Spencer, died at this home early Wednesday afternoon of an apparent heart attack.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Riplinger. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rev. David J. Ault, pastor, will officiate.

Friends may call at the Rux-Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby after 2 p.m. Friday.

Mr. Gaetz was born March 26, 1901, at Little Black and on June 30, 1932, in Abbotsford he married the former Myrtle Brown. She died May 7, 1971. He received his education at schools in Little Black.

After his marriage, he farmed on the home place in the Town of Unity and also worked for Weyerhaeuser Co. in Marshfield for 14 years.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.

Surviving are two sons, Ralph and David, both of Spencer, four daughters, Mrs. Darnell (Janice) Schoelzel and Mrs. Kenneth (Joanne) Laper, both of Colby, Mrs. Dennis (Carol) Kuehling, Unity and Mrs. Ronald (Mary) Hausman, Bethalto, Ill., two sisters, Mrs. Katherine Marion, Duluth, Minn. and Mrs. Ann Cody, Barrington, Ill; a brother John, Milwaukee, 23 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
