LENA SINGSTOCK Colby - Former town of Green Grove resident, Lena Singstock, 101, resident of Neillsville Memorial Home, died at 10:22 p.m. Friday at Neillsville Memorial Hospital.

Services were held today at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, North Green Grove, with the Rev. DuWayne Schneider officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

The Rux Funeral Home, Colby handled arrangements.

She was born April 8, 1886, in Waukesha County to Fred and Ann Hess. They moved to Colby in 1892 and she attended Colby schools.

She was married to Herman Singstock May 10, 1905 in Colby. They farmed in the town of Green Grove until retiring in 1946. Mr. Singtock died May 6, 1969. She entered the nursing home in 1970.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and it's Ladies Aid.

Surviving are a son Milbert of Wausau, a daughter Caroline Landen of Madison, a sister Mrs. Alma Wilke of Watertown, 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
