Semec, Olga (1929? - 2 Oct. 1936)

Olge Semec aged 7 and a baby brother three months old were badly scalded Saturday afternoon by falling into a tub of water at the home of their parents four miles southwest of Willard, resulting in the death of the little girl Monday forenoon.

Just how the accident occurred is not clear but it seems that the little girl was carrying the baby in her arms and fell backwards into the hot water. Fully two-thirds of the surface of her body was scalded, most of it deeply, in what is known as a third degree burn.

Dr. Sarah Rosekrans was called and drove as rapidly as possible to the home 11 miles from Neillsville, bringing both children to the Neillsville hospital. Tanic acid treatment the most reliable remedy was faithfully applied but the little girl injuries were too serious for recovery and she passed away Monday.

The little boy is apparently doing well.

The deepest sympathy is felt throughout the community for the heart broken parents.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at the home of the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Semec.
