Kuechenmeister, Anna (8 Aug. 1862 - 30 Aug. 1936)

Mrs. Oscar Kuechenmeister, one of the pioneers of the town of Grant, passed away at her home in the town of Sunday, August 30, 1936 at 4:45 p.m.

She had been a woman of unusual health and strength, never having been sick during her long life. About three weeks before her death, her heart began to show a sign of weakness, due it is thought to old age, and she slowly grew weaker to the end, being tenderly cared for during these days by her daughter-in-law.

Anna Kaufmann was born at Plymouth, Wisconsin, August 8, 1862 and was 74 years and 22 days old at the time of her death.

In 1881 she came to Clark County, and a year later - October 25, 1884, she was married to Oscar Kuechenmeister.

They settled on land in the town of Grant, developed a fine farm which was their home the rest of their lives. Mr. *Keuchenmeister died in 1934.

Mrs. *Keuchenmeister was noted for her generosity and kindness of heart. She was always ready and willing to give anything she had to those who needed help, sparing neither her time nor energy in helping others.

She is survived by one son, Edgar, who lives on the home farm. A daughter Alma, Mrs. Krahnke died in 1932. She leaves also a sister, Mrs. Rosa Kuechenmeister of the town of Grant and a half-sister Minnie Muehl of Saxton, Wisconsin.

Funeral services were held today, Wednesday, at Lowe’s Funeral Home, Rev. Wm. Baumann officiating.

**Notes - The surname Kuechenmeister was spelled another way in the original obituary as *Keuchenmeister.
