Thieme, Lucille (11 NOV 1932 - 19 FEB 2006)

Lucille "Lucy" Thieme, 73, Montello, died on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006, at the University of Arkansas Medical Center, Little Rock, Ark. Funeral services were held on Friday, Feb. 24, at 5 p.m., at the Steinhaus-Wachholz Family Funeral Home, Montello. The Rev. Dr. Mary Joe Bruinooge officiated. Burial took place at 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 27, at the Southern Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove.

Lucille Freeman was born on Nov. 11, 1932, in Spencer, to Harold and Vera (nee Dike) Freeman. She was a 1950 graduate of Spencer High School and attended UW-Stevens Point. She married Glenn Thieme on Oct. 8, 1955, in Spencer. She was a military wife for 26 years, until her husband’s retirement from the U. S. Navy. They lived in Libertyville, Ill., where they owned an upholstery business. She enjoyed antiques, garage sales, fishing and gardening.

Survivors include her husband, Glenn; four sons, Robin (fiancée Kim Burnette) Thieme, Little Rock, Ark., Brad (Julie) Thieme, Libertyville, Ill., Lance Thieme, Wadsworth, Ill., and Wayne (Julie) Thieme, McHenry, Ill.; one brother, Robert (Jan) Freeman, Marshfield; two sisters, Vera Keyes, Marshfield, and Lois Mellenthin, Spencer; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
