Prokopiak, Florence (28 SEP 1935)

On Saturday, the twenty-eighth of Sept., 1935, at ten o’clock in the morning at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church occurred the marriage of Miss Florence Prokopiak, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Prokopiak, and Mr. Joseph J. Twarowski, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Twarowski. Mr. Louis Twarowski acted as best man and Miss Harriet Prokopiak as bridesmaid. They were also attended by Mr. Edw. Czech and Miss Mary Klimininski, Mr. Bernard Prokopiak and Miss Mary Ann Czech and Mr. Walter Twarowski and Miss Annette Reyzer. Margaret Strenski carried the flowers. The bride wore a white satin gown with a long train, a veil with a halo crown and a blusher. She carried a beautiful bouquet of white roses and lilies of the valley. The bridesmaids all wore baby blue taffeta dresses trimmed in pink with pink maline hats, carrying beautiful bouquets of pink roses. The little flower girl wore pink with a pink ribbon rosette in her hair and carried blue flowers. The groom and his attendants wore tuxedos.

A reception was held at the house of the bride’s parents with about seventy families attending, after which the couple left for Stevens Point for a few days, returning here to take up their residence on the groom’s farm.

Out of town guests who were present at the ceremony were: Mrs. T. Strenski, sister of the bride, and two children, Margaret and Junior, Louis Twarowski, Walter Twarowski, brothers of the groom, and miss Wanda Sczpanski, all of Chicago.
