Stroinski, Anton/Stella (Gold - 14 SEP 1935)

Anton Stroinski, 74 years old, and his wife, Stella, 69 years old, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last Saturday morning, Sept. 14th, 1935, at a 9 o’clock mass at St. Hedwig’s Church, Rev. F.A. Kulig receiving the vows and gave them the Lord’s blessing.

They were married in Poland Sept. 14th, 1885 and came to St. Paul, Minn. In 1888, then in 1891 they came to Thorp, Clark Co., Wis. and bought the farm in the town of Withee where they still reside with their youngest son John and family, and enjoy good health. They had nine children, three sons and three daughters living; twenty-five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; Theodore and John of Thorp, Frank of New Mexico, Mrs. Chas. Wichlacz, Mrs. Michael Teclaw of Thorp, and Mrs. John Strzelecki of Chicago.

Relatives from out of town who attended the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Ignace Winiecki and daughter of St. Paul, Minn., John Stroinski, Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Urbanowicz and children of Pittsburgh, Penn., Mrs. John Strzelecki and two children, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Strzelecki, Mrs. Frank Kalas, Mrs. J.S. Zielinski and daughter Shirley, all of Chicago, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stroinski and Mrs. Michael Stroinski of New Mexico, the latter making the trip of 1,900 miles alone in a Plymouth car.

Mr. and Mrs. Chas Wichlacz also celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with their parents. They also received many nice gifts. All their friends join in wishing them many more years of happiness.
