Roehl, Clifford W. (10 JUN 1923 - 8 SEP 1986)

NEILLSVILLE, Clark Co., Wis. - Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church Neillsville, for Clifford W. Roehl, 63, Route 4, Neillsville; who died Monday at Memorial Hospital.

The Rev. Richard F. Weber will officiate and burial will be in the Neillsville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Douglas Buddinger, Frank Fabian, Allen Stanley, Fritz Seelow, Gordon Sharrett and Victor Diercks. Music will be provided by St. John’s School Junior Choir, accompanied by Sharon Nemitz.

Visitations will be from 5-9 p.m. today and until 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, then at the church for one hour before services.

Mr. Roehl was born June 10, 1923, in the town of Pine Valley, Clark Co., to William C. and Hattie (Zickert) Roehl. He attended Oriole School in the town of York, St. John’s Lutheran School and the Neillsville High School.

He married Hazel Wetzel, Jan. 9, 1960, in Neillsville, Wis. She survives.

He farmed in the town of York for many years and then moved to his present home in the town of Pine Valley in 1982.

He was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Church.

Surviving, besides his wife, are two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Rhonda) Schoolman, Chili, and Rita, at home; five sons, Rex, Randy, Roger, Rodney and Ross, all of Neillsville; a sister, Mrs. Harold (Florence) Embke, Neillsville, and three grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers, Wilbur and Harold.
