Wagner, Maud (9 FEB 1909)

Tuesday morning at 7 o’clock, at the Catholic Church at Thorp, Clark Co., Wis., Mr. Math. Philippi and Miss Maud Wagner were united in marriage. The event, though expected for a long time, just now comes as a surprise to their many Athens, Marathon Co., Wis. friends. both young people are from Thorp, though Math. Has been employed in Athens for quite a number of years, most of the time by Braum Bros. & Co., for which firm he is at present foreman of the night crew at their mill. He is an industrious and capable young man, of good character. Miss Philippi is the daughter of Editor Wagner of the Courier, and up to a week ago taught school near Thorp. She has made many friends in Athens during her short visits here. The Record extends congratulations. (Athens Record)

Maud has many friends her at Colby, Clark Co., the Phonograph included, who will join in wishing her and her husband a long life of happiness and prosperity.
