Hingiss, Anna (15 FEB 1872 - 7 APR 1909)

Died, at her home in the town of Mayville, Clark Co., Wis., on Wednesday evening, April 7th, 1909, of acute gastritis due to progressive vomiting, Anna, beloved wife of Ferdinand Hingiss, aged 37 years, 1 month and 22 days.

Anna Becherer was born in the town of Herman, Sheboygan Co., Wis., Feb. 15th, 1872; she came to Colby with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Becherer in May 1881; she was married about 18 years ago to Ferdinand Hingiss and immediately moved onto the farm where she died. Mrs. Hingiss had been a sufferer for two months prior to her death, and received the best of medical attention, consultation was had and everything known to medical science was resorted to, but without avail. She leaves besides her husband and seven children, her father and sister Bertha living at St. James, Minn., her mother, brother Louis and sister Emma of this city, and her brother William of Fairfax, Minn., to mourn her early death.

The funeral was held from the residence, conducted by the Lutheran minister of Curtiss, Saturday afternoon. The burial took place in Colby Cemetery.
