Marsh, Abbey E. (19 JUN 1851 - 10 FEB 1909)

Mrs. Ed Marsh Sr. died shortly after noon, Wednesday, Feb. 10th, 1909. She suffered a paralytic stroke Jan. 3, from the effects of which she partially recovered. Last Sunday, however, she grew much weaker, her heart giving her much trouble. She gradually grew weaker until the end came (Fifield Tribune)

The remains were brought to Colby, Clark Co., Wis. Saturday noon and the funeral held from the M.E. Church at 1:30, conducted by Rev. Andrews of Abbotsford, in the absence of the regular pastor.

Mrs. Marsh was one of our early and highly respected settlers, having resided on a farm south of the city for many years previous to the removal of the family to Fifield. She was in the 59th year of her age, and leaves to mourn her departure, a husband and nine children, seven of whom, Edwin of Fifield, Fred of Stratford, Roy, Mrs. Bosley, Eva, Marion and Alice of Fifield, were here to attend the funeral. Mr. Marsh was unable to attend. Mr. Clark of Eau Claire, the uncle of the deceased, was also here to attend the funeral.
