Last week was one of accidents.

William Garvin had a runaway on Tuesday of last week and was hurt quite badly. No other damages were reported.

Walter Rowe came home from camp Friday, nursing a very sore foot, which he got hurt while on his way to Yolo. He was riding on a sleigh and got his foot between the sleigh and a stump. He went back to work Monday.

Charley Gilman had a log roll on his foot last Friday evening, hurting it so bad that he was compelled to quit work for a few days. He went to his home at Neillsville Saturday morning.

Last Friday, while Lannie Chase was leading a span of horses to water, they fell off the end of a bridge and in trying to extricate them one of his arms came in contact with the end log of the bridge, nearly breaking it.

While Ben Turner was returning home from a trip to Hein he turned out to let a team pass by and by so doing one of his horsed slipped into the ditch, hurting it so badly that it may not recover. It is thought that one of its hips is broken. This is only one result of narrow turnpiking. E. M. Rowe made a business trip to Loyal Monday.

An oyster supper for Rev. Foster’s benefit will be given tonight at the Redmond Church.

York was quite will represented at the Epworth League convention, held at Loyal last Saturday.

Rev. T. O. Knudson made calls in this vicinity Monday.

Miss Mae Smith has gone to Christie for a short stay among relatives and friends.

Eddie and Sadie Graves returned home Thursday from a three week’s visit among relatives in Fond du Lac County.

L. J. Fulwiler transacted business at Neillsville Monday.

There will be a chicken pie sociable at Mr. and Mrs. Walter Graves’ home, Wednesday evening, January 27th. All are invited. Proceeds are for the pastor’s benefit.
