Chubb, Mary (16 Nov. 1856 - 18 July 1935)
Mrs. Mary Chubb, Town of Lynn, died Sunday at 5:15 p.m. at the hospital in Owen, where she had been a patient since July 18. Old age was given as the cause of death, Mrs. Chubb having reached the age of 79 years, 11 months and 10 days. She was born Nov. 16, 1856, at Albany, N. Y.
Funeral services will be held at Schiller’s Funeral Home Thursday at 9:45 a.m. with Rev. White officiating. Burial will be made at Oconomowoc beside her husband.
Miss Mary Belle Holmes was married to C. W. Chubb in June, 1878. Surviving children are Arthur and Clarence W. of the town of Lynn. A son was killed in an accident at the age of one and a half years. Mrs. Chubb also is survived by a brother, Hal Holmes, of Granton.
Mrs. Chubb was a music teacher for many eyars and was widely known for her rare ability as an instructor. Through her work in music and her great interest in her community’s welfare, Mrs. Chubb enjoyed an unusually large circle of warm friends who mourn her death.
