Blencoe, Hattie (4 Jan. 1883 - 1935)

Funeral services for Mrs. Hattie Blencoe, 52 years old, whose death occurred at her home here Thursday morning, were held Sunday afternoon from the Tony Hantke home, Rev. P. B. White officiating. Burial was made in the Neillsville Cemetery.

Mrs. Blencoe was born Jan. 4, 1883, in Levis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Schultz. She spent her youth on the home farm and on April 4, 1912, was married to Omer J. Blencoe of Merrillan. They took up their residence at Alma Center were they remained until 1926 when they moved to this city. Mr. Blencoe died in 1928.

Surviving are an adopted son, Albert Smith, her mother, Mrs. George Schultz; two sisters, MRs. Arne (Florence) Bakken, Black River Falls; and Mrs. Tony (Hazel) Hantke, Neillsville, and two brothers, Phillip, Hatfield; and Guy, Levis.

Mrs. Blencoe had been ill for only a month, but had not been confined to bed and her death was not expected.
