Lund, Hugo Peter "Julius" (25 March 1868 - 10 May 1910) *Went by Julius Lund in the Census records.

Hugo Peter Julius Lund was born on March 25, 1868, in Assens, Fyn, Denmark. His early life was spent there during which he learned the shoemaker trade.

At the age of 21 he was drafted into the Denmark army at Copenhagen, Denmark, where he served a year and a half.

In 1891 he sailed to America, coming directly to Stanley, Wisconsin. He was married on May 30, 1891 to Mary Dorothea Sorenson of Lundager, Fyn, Denmark. He did common labor until 1903 when he moved to a farm just north of Stanley. He lived there up to the time of his death. During his illness he was taken to Victory Hospital, where he died on May 10. 1935.

He is survived by his wife, and also eight children: Mrs. Anna Gregory, of Goldfield, Nevada; Carl and Albert Lund of Neenah, Wisconsin; Edward and Rudolph Lund; Mrs. Johanna Sloan, Mrs. Alda Horgan, Mrs. Dora Brothen, all of Stanley. There are thirty-one grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Johanna Deitz, Askow, Minnesota; Mrs. Georgine Danielsen, Nyborg, Denmark; and one brother, William Lund of Copenhagen, Demark.

Just to let you know that the name of the deceased is incorrect. He is Hans Peter Julius Lund. He was my grandfather. THANKS!
