The four departments in the school building were closed from Wednesday last until Tuesday of this week on account of a breakage of one of the castings of the furnace, it being impossible to heat the rooms. It is also being stated that the furnace is much too small in size to properly heat all the rooms. A stove was put up in one of the primary rooms on Monday which will greatly relieve the furnace and it is thought that further trouble from this will be avoided the balance of the winter.
