Sommer, Theodore A. (22 Feb. 1885 - 23 Jan. 1968)

Curtiss - Services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in the town of Green Grove for Theodore A. Sommer, 82, route 1, Curtiss, who died Jan. 23 at the Memorial Nursing Home at Neillsville, Wis. The Rev. Arthur Rasch officiated, and burial was made in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers were Gary Sommer, William Schuette, Dr. Gene Wagner, Jerome Weiler, Robert Wachsmuth and Larry Fritz.

Mr. Sommer was born Feb. 22, 1885, in the town of Green Grove, Clark County, and had lived and farmed here most of his life. For the past four years he had resided at the Memorial Nursing Home in Neillsville, Wis.

He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, town of Green Grove.

Survivors are three sons, Donald, Vernon and Marlyn Sommer, all of route 1, Curtiss; three daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Ruth) Schuette, route1, Unity; Mrs. Harley (Eilen) Hardrath, route 1, Owen; and Mrs. Leonard (Marilyn) Wachsmuth, Arlington Heights, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Paul Woik, Owen; 20 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, in 1942; three brothers and four sisters.
