Baker, Martha (18 July 1897 - 1961)

Owen - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home from Mrs. Marath Baker, 64, who died Tuesday at the Clark County Hospital. Edward J. Borowic will officiate and burial will be made in the town of Beaver.

Friends may call at the funeral home where the body is reposing.

The former Martha Hardrath was born in the town of Green Grove July 18, 1897. Her first marriage took place on October 1915 to Arthur Schuette at Loyal. He died in May 1941. She was married Sept. 6, 1949, at Abbotsford to William Baker who survives her. The couple farmed in the town of Beaver until their retirement in 1959 when they moved to Owen, Wis.

Survivors also include three stepchildren, Charles Baker, Clinton, Md., Harry Baker and Mrs. Elanor Sheldon, both of Lynbrook, N. Y.; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Nelson, Loyal, and Mrs. Elwood (Esther) Fischer, route 1, Owen; and three brothers, Herman and Louis Hardrath, route 1, Owen, and Albert Hardrath, route 1, Loyal.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur and Henry Hardrath.
