Hackel, Joseph (12 FEB 1859 - 2 APR 1912)
The burial of Joseph Hackel took place Saturday, April 6, 1912 from the St. Louis Catholic Church, Rev. John Neises officiating. Mr. Hackel was born in Austria, Feb. 12, 1859, being 53 years, 1 months and 21 days old. In the year 1882 he came to America and settled on a farm northeast of Dorchester, Clark County, Wis., being among one of the old settlers in this vicinity. Three years later he married Barbara Schobel, also of Austria. He was widely known and well liked by all his friends and acquaintances.
His wife and four children, Albert, Mary, Otto and Willie survive him.
His brothers, Vincent, Albert and one sister, Mrs. Stellar and husband of Chicago, attended the funeral.
