Luctherhand, Bertha (27 Oct. 1880 - 1952)

Colby - Mrs. Bertha Luchterhand, 71, died of old age complications at a Wausau Hospital Tuesday morning.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Lulloff Funeral Home where her body is now reposing. Services will be in charge of the Bible Student organization of which Mrs. Luchterhand was a member.

The former Bertha Ewert was born in the Town of Unity, Oct. 27, 1880. She was married to Edwin Luctherhand July 2, 1901. They engaged in farming until 1938 when they moved to Colby. Mr. Luchterhand died Feb. 4, 1939.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ray (Dorothy) Grove, Minneapolis; and Mrs. Alma Pickrell, Chicago; three sons, Ernest, Colby; Emil, Unity; and Elmer, Springfield, Mass.

She also leaves three sisters, Mrs. Emma Finch, Raymond S. D.; Mrs. Elmer Carlson, Unity; and Mrs. Louie Klein, Spencer; and three brothers, Henry Ewert; Dorchester; Arthur Ewert, Colby; and Lester Ewert, Unity.
