Molle, Lena (15 Aug. 1916 - 2 May 2004)

Lena Molle, 87, Abbotsford, died Sunday, May 2, 2004, at Saint Joseph's Hospital Palliative Care, Marshfield.

She was born Aug. 15, 1916, in the town of Green Grove, the daughter of Henry and Rose (nee Brecker) Awe. Her marriage to Albert Molle took place on Sept. 25, 1953. He preceded her in death on July 12, 1976.

The couple farmed in the town of Green Grove and later owned and operated the North Side Tavern. They then farmed in the town of Unity until 1963, owned and operated Molle's Tap in Medford, and moved to Abbotsford in 1973, where Mrs. Molle worked at Medo Farms and the Continental Manor Nursing Home. She enjoyed gardening and fishing. Survivors include three daughters, Darlene (Glenn) Rachu, Abbotsford, Cairgene (Leroy) Kauth, Spencer, and Linda Molle, Abbotsford; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Alvina Laabs, Abbotsford, Alma Harper, P1acerville, Calif., and Ruth (Alfred) Molle, Withee. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in deth by one great-grandson, Elliot Kaiser.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 6, at the Maurina Funeral Home, Abbotsford, Wis. Mr. Robert Ruprich will preside. Burial will be in the Colby Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 5, 2004, from ** rest cut off. **
