Oldham, Lillian L. (29 June 1914 – 28 July 1995)

Lillian L Oldham, age 81, of Garden Valley Township in Jackson County, died on Friday, July 28, 1995, at Black River Memorial Hospital, Black River Falls.

Lillian was born on June 29, 1914 in Garden Valley, Jackson County, to Nels and Anna (Dahl) Johnson. She graduated from the Alma Center High School. She married LaFayette Oldham, of Pine Valley, Clark County and they were later divorced. She worked in California as a private care, nursing assistant for many years, returning to Garden Valley five years ago. She greatly enjoyed caring for the flower gardens that surround her family home.

Surviving is her sister, Eleanor (Wayne) Wescom of Alma Center; also many nieces, nephews and other relatives who mourn her death.

Preceding her in death were five brothers, Vernon, Walter, Victor, Roy and Wallace Johnson; and five sisters, Alice, Lelah, Sadie, Delma and Norma.

Funeral services for Lillian L Oldham were held on Monday, July 31, at 1 p.m. at the Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home at Hixton. The Rev. Eldon Borreson officiated and burial was in the West Garden Valley Cemetery, rural Alma Center. Friends called on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Monday at the funeral home.
