Marietta T. Collinson, 97, Lanark, Ill., formerly of Loyal, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2005, at Good Samaritan Nursing Center, Mt. Carroll, Ill. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 6, at the Cherry Grove Church of the Brethren, Lanark. The Rev. John Ewing officiated. Burial was in Argo Fay Cemetery, Argo Fay.

Marietta T. Gruber was born Oct. 14, 1907, in Jacksonville, Ill., to Isaac T. and Ethel (Nee Bloss) Gruber. She attended Jacksonville schools. She married Glyde Collinson on Dec. 29, 1928, in Jacksonville. She and her husband farmed in Wisconsin and Illinois. She was a member of the Cherry Grove Church of the Brethren and their women’s fellowship.
