Seidelmann, Michael J. (13 JAN 1853 - 7 MAY 1933)

The deceased Michael J. Seidelmann was born in Bavaria, Germany on the 13th day of January 1853. In his early infancy he was baptized in the name of the Triune God and then later instructed and confirmed in the ev. luth. Church. The deceased was a long time member of the local Trinity Congregation, who made diligent use of the means of grace and having taken an active part in the work of the Church. On the 3rd day of September, 1875 he was united in marriage to Susie Hager, which union was blessed with 6 children. In the fall of 1880 he left his native land for the U. S. A. coming to Jefferson where he remained until the fall of 1897 when he came to Clark, County; where in the Town of York he purchased a farm and where he made his home for the remainder of his life. For some time his health began to fail, the complications of old age setting in, he gradually grew weaker and weaker and for the last week was unconscious most of the time. On Monday morning at 8:30 he was called out of time into eternity by a blessed death as we hope and entered that rest which is in store for the people of God. He attained the age of 80 years, 4 months and 18 days. He now leaves to mourn his departure his sorrowing wife, with whom he was permitted to live in Holy wedlock for over 57 years; also six children, viz: Henry Seidelmann of Neillsville, John Seidelmann of Hoquiam, Washington; Mrs. Barbara Greely of Hoquiam, Washington; Michael J. Seidelmann, Jr. of the Town of Loyal; Mrs. Lily Anderegg of the Town of York and William Seidelmann of the Town of York; also 30 grandchildren and numerous other relatives and a host of friends who have our hearts sympathy in their bereavement.

Funeral services were held from the house at 1:00 and 2:00 at Trinity Lutheran Church Wednesday afternoon. Interment was in the Lutheran cemetery.

Pall bearers were Rudolph Schaele, Wenzel Meitner, John Loppnow, Gust Garbush, Ed. Morse and Ernest Noeldner.

Flower girls were grand daughters of the deceased namely; Elma and Malinda Anderegg, Rosa and Velma Seidelmann.

Two children, John Seidelmann and Barbara Greely of Washington were unable to attend.
