Pasek, Joseph J. "Joe" (Feb. 28, 1917-Oct. 16, 2003)

Joseph J. ‘Joe’ Pasek, age 86, of Merrillan, died on Thursday Oct. 16, 2003, at St. Joseph’s Hospital of Marshfield.

Joe was born on Feb. 28, 1917, in Chicago, IL to John and Aniela Nellie (Kluska) Pasek. He attended school at Bruce Mound School and then Merrillan High School. He worked for the Civilian Conservation Corps in the Hayward area during the 1930’s and then for the conservation department as a game warden in Eagle River. He also worked as a fire warden in Clark County. He operated a dairy farm in the Town of Dewhurst for many years.

Joe served on the board of the Town of Dewhurst and was town clerk. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and hiking around Bruce Mound and Black River areas. He enjoyed playing cards and having a good conversation with friends and relatives.

Surviving are his three sisters, Clara Pasek of Merrillan, Lottie (Al) Bianchetto of Milwaukee and Martha Longwitz of Waukesha; several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Proceeding him in death are his parents and a sister Helen; also a brother-in-law, Bob Longwitz.

Funeral services for Joseph J Pasek were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 20, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with burial in Saint Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, of Alma Center. Father David Ziegelmaier officiated.

Memorials are preferred to the donor’s choice.

The Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home, Hixton, assisted the family.
