Tesmer, Alice Ramona (2 Oct. 1923 - 5 Sept. 1994)

Colby - Alice Ramona Tesmer, 70, Colby, died at 2:34 a.m. Sept. 5, 1994, at St. Joseph’s Hospital Hospice Care Unit, Marshfield.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church, Colby, with the Rev. Mark Neumann officiating. Music will be provided by Joan Neumann, organist. Burial will be in Colby Memorial Cemetery.

The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Community Funeral Home, Colby, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Alice was born Oct. 2, 1923, in Unity to August and Elsie (Peterson) Flink. She attended Unity Public School.

She was married to Bernard W. Tesmer on June 3, 1944, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Unity. He died Feb. 27, 1986.

Before her marriage, she worked as a waitress in Chicago. After their marriage, she worked at the Skylite Club in Athens, Zillmer’s Department Store in Colby, the Abby Café in Abbotsford and at her husband’s business, H. M. Motor Co., in Colby and the Toma-lander Moter, Bar and Restaurant in Rhinelander.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

She is survived by one son, Randel (Shirley) Tesmer of Abbotsford; one daughter, Sarah (Melvin) Greuel of Marshfield; one brother, Conrad (Irene) Flink of Colby; one sister, Linda (Pete) Wootos of Chicago; nine grandchildren; three great-granddaugthers; and a special neighbor and friend, Dorothea Foster.

In additioin to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three sisters and three brothers and by her eldest son, William Tesmer Sr., who died July 7, 1994.
