Lyons, Lucille (24 DEC 1932)

An event of interest to Loyal people took place at Beloit, Saturday morning, December 24th at nine o’clock when Miss Lucille Lyons and Mr. Marion Poulton were married at the parsonage of the First M. E. Church, Rev. Schlangerhauf officiating.

After the ceremony they drove to Rockford, Ill., for their wedding breakfast and from there to Atlanta, Georgia to visit for several days at the home of Mrs. Poultan’s only brother Gene Lyons.

The beautiful wedding cake made by Marion’s Mother, journeyed with them to Atlanta to be partaken of there.

The bride has been a guest at the Poultan home several times and has many friends here, she is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Lyons of Pulaski, is a graduate of the Shawano High School and of the Milwaukee Teacher’s College and taught at Beloit several years.

The groom is "Marion" to his many friends in Loyal where he has lived since he was two years old. He chose to honor his parents by being married on their wedding anniversary. He is a graduate of the Loyal High School and the Oshkosh Teacher’s College and is now principal of the Westby High School.

A wide circle of friends join in wishing this young couple much happiness and a prosperous future. They will return to Wisconsin in time to resume their school duties after the holidays.
