Rose, Terry (16 Jan. 1975 - 17 Aug. 1991)

Marshfield teen downs at Hatfield

Hatfield - A Marshfield boy drowned Saturday after he apparently had an epileptic seizure while rafting in the beach area at Russell Memorial Park.

Terry J. Rose, 16, of 211 Parkview Terrace fell from the raft he was on at about 2:15 p.m., Clark County Sheriff’s Department authorities said. He was taken from the water about 15 minutes after he fell, authorities said.

Rose was transported to Black River Memorial Hospital, Black River Falls, where he was pronounced dead at 4:30 p.m. after several attempts to revive him, said Clark County Coroner Bob Lulloff. The death was ruled asphyxiation due to drowning, Lulloff said.

Rose was camping with family members when the accident happened.

He is the son of Marge Rose of Marshfield and Raymond Rose of Unity.
