Kauth, Alfred (05 July 1905 - 07 June 1968)

Alfred Kauth, 62, died at 4 a.m. Friday, June 7, at Memorial Hospital, Neillsville of complications. Services were held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal on Monday, June 10, with the Rev. Norbert E. King officiating and burial was made in the parish cemetery.

Pallbearers were Donald and Kenneth Rude, Mike Weyer, Oscar Fricke, Robert Bauer, and Hugo Lau.

The Myre Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.

Mr. Kauth was born July 5, 1905 at Caldonia. As a young man he went to Milwaukee where he was employed by A. O. Smith Co. In1946 he moved to Chili where he operated a tavern until 1950 when he moved to the town of Loyal and farmed until his retirement in 1962. June 16, 1925 he married Marie Burns at Milwaukee.

He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church at Loyal. A General Rosary was said Sunday evening.

Besides his wife he is survived by a son, Leroy, Loyal; ten grandchildren, three brothers, Edward, Webster, Thomas, Milwaukee and Peter, Evansville; three sisters, Mrs. Cecelia Vollmer, and Mrs. Theresa Rude, Milwaukee and Mrs. Mayme Logic, Racine.

He was preceded in death by a son, Richard who died in 1967; two brothers and one sister.
