Stearns, Son of Harry (1902? - 26 May 1915)
The twelve-year-old son of Harry Stearns of Fairchild, Eau Claire Co., Wis., met a tragic death while playing about the elevator in his home town Wednesday evening. He and a number of companions were playing hide and seek, and this unfortunate little fellow climbed on an ash pile beside the elevator to hide. In doing so, he came in contact with a live wire from which the insulation that ensures safety, is reported to have been worn, and died instantly. He was an only son, and the accident is greatly regretted by all.
