Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday at the York Center Methodist Church for George Mortimer, 79, Route 1, Granton, who died Monday at Memorial Home here. The Rev. Conrad Mickelson, Loyal, and the Rev. Lee Holmes, Marshfield, will officiate and burial will take place in the York Center Cemetery. Friends May call at the Georgas Funeral Home on Fifth Street until Wednesday noon and then at the church. Mr. Mortimer was born January 1, 1889 in the Town of York, and had lived there most of his lifetime. He operated the home farm until his retirement. He had been a resident of Memorial Home since July of 1967. He was an active member of the York Center Methodist Church. He is survived by a brother, Ray, at Loyal. A brother, Jesse, and a sister, Mrs. Ernest (Grace) Rowe, preceded him in death.
