Sorlin, Mrs. John (26 JUN 1850 - 10 Apr 1929)

Mrs. John Sorlin, Curtiss, Clark County, Wis., passed away Wednesday morning, April 10, 1929, after an illness of over a year. Within this time Mrs. Sorlin suffered several paralytic strokes which was the cause of her death.

Mrs. Sorlin was born June 26, 1850 at Graninge, Sweden. She came to Curtiss with her husband, July 2, 1883, where they engaged in farming. During her life at Curtiss, Mrs. Sorlin will be remembered as a person of very high ideals and led a true Christian life.

The funeral was held from the Congregational Church at Curtiss, Friday afternoon, April 12th, Rev. Powell of Owen officiating. Her body was laid to rest in the family lot in the Norwegian Lutheran Cemetery. Although weather conditions were very unfavorable, a large number of sympathizing friends accompanied the remains to it's last resting place.

She leaves to mourn her death, her husband, John Sorlin of Curtiss, three daughters, Mrs. Charles Schoenbeck of Eau Claire, Mrs. Charles McCarty of Curtiss, Mrs. George Korntved of Abbotsford and John Sorlin Jr. of Curtiss.
