Stadler, Peter (Feb 1861 - 11 OCT 1928)

Peter Stadler, age sixty-seven years and eight months, died at the St. Joseph's Hospital at Chippewa Falls Thursday morning of last week, following an operation for rupture, which he submitted to on Monday before.

Mr. Stadler had been a resident of the city (Owen, Clark County, Wis.) for the past ten years, moving here with his family from Lublin, Wis. During his residence in the city he had been in the employ of the Soo Line Railway as pumper and continued in their employ until about a year ago, when he retired on a pension, having passed the age of 65. While living at Lublin he was also in the employ of the railroad, as section foreman, a position which he held for more than ten years. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way and also a member of the Maccabees Lodge.

Funeral services were conducted at the home her on Sunday at 11:30 and the body was then taken to Ladysmith, where services were conducted at 3 o'clock p.m. from the Lutheran Church, Rev. Hoffman, pastor of the Lutheran Church of Withee, officiating at both services. Burial took place in the Ladysmith Cemetery.

Those left to mourn his departure, are his wife, three sons, Arthur of this city, Walter of Milwaukee and Paul who is at home, and two daughters, Mrs. Clara Hamm, Ladysmith, and Mrs. A. C. Lavine of this city.
