Hansen, Mathilda (Marriage - 15 JUN 1927)

One of the prettiest June weddings to occur took place Wednesday afternoon at the Danish Lutheran Church at Withee, Clark County, Wis., when Miss Mathilda Hansen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Hansen of this city, and Mr. Lyle Haas of Withee, was solemnized before a large crowd of relatives and friends. The Rev. Petersen, pastor of the Danish Lutheran Church read the ceremony which made them man and wife.

The young people were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hansen, a brother and sister-in-law of the bride, Mr. James Hansen, a brother of the bride. Immediately following the ceremony the bridal party went to the home of the bride's parents, south of Withee, where a reception was given and a wedding supper served.

The bride is a young lady of sterling qualities, and has been teaching school for the past two years, two miles south of Withee. She is well liked by those who have come in contact with her and her work, and will make a good helpmate.

The groom for some time past has been employed in the Cooperative Creamery at Withee and is an industrious young man with a future before him. Their many friends wish for the success and happiness in their married life.

Those from out of town who came to attend the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Vern Cruise, Chicago; Arthur Jensen, Eau Claire; and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur M. Jensen, Eau Claire.

Thursday morning the young people left on a wedding trip which will take them to the Black Hills of South Dakota, and other points of interest in the West. They will be at home to their many friends after July 1 at Withee.
