Angeline Fern "Hazel" (Hebert) Jonas

CHILI- Services for Mrs. Hazel F. Jonas, 66, Chili, who died at 9:16 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, Chili.

The Rev. Charles P. Schumacker will officiate. Mrs. Helen Brinkman will be organist and John F. Binder will be the soloist. Burial will be made in the parish cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Gary Vanderhoof, Terrance and Mike Jonas, Herb Puscheck, Irwin Rusch and Dennis Fischer.

Visitation will be at Rembs/Kundinger Chapel, Marshfield, at 4 p.m. Thursday and then at the church from 9:30 a.m. until service time Friday. A St. Stephen’s Parish Council of Catholic Women service combined with a parish prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel.

She was born December 30, 1923, in the town of Lynn, Clark County, to the late Eliot and Katherine (Bauer) Hebert. She attended Chili area schools.

She was married to Joseph C. Jonas December 20, 1943, at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church. He died July 19, 1954.

She and her husband had lived in chili until 1949 when they moved to Marshfield. She returned to Chili after the death of her husband. She had been admitted to Neillsville Nursing Home in April 1989.

She was a member of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church and the Parish Council of Catholic Women.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Rueben (Mary) Vanderhoof of Stratford; two sons, James of Mazomanie and Richard of Chili; one brother, Perry Hebert of Chili; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

She was also predeceased by one sister.
