Arnold E. Rozmenoski

Arnold E. Rozmenoski, 70, Black River Falls, died on Wednesday, Oct.22, in Black River Memorial Hospital. He was born on August 5, 1933, to William and Mildred (Dietrich) Rozmenoski. Arnie graduated from Black River Falls High School, class of 1951, then attended Madison Business College. He married Phyllis Dufeck and they later divorced. He lived most of his life in Black River Falls but also resided in Madison, and Anchorage, Alaska. He married Betty Sims on August 19, 1964. Together, with other family members, they operated The Pines Motor Lodge and Pines Bolwling Lanes until retirement in 1997.

Arnie had a passion for bowling and since 1962, served as a leader for many American Bowling Congress teams and events including bowling at ABC National Tournament for the last twenty years. He was a member of the Lions Club, Duck's Unlimited, Chamber of Commerce, Jackson County Tavern League, Jaycees, Rotary Club, and a Meals on Wheels volunteer. Arnie believed in service to his community. Other interests were golfing, fishing, hunting, boating, snowmobiling, playing cards, traveling, flying, and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving family include his wife Betty; sons Danny (Mary Jo), Douglas (Sherry), Dale, and David Rozmenoski; stepson, Bill Sims; daughters Debra (Larry) Haller, Diane (Scott) Lewis; step-daughter Debra (Tom) Hagen; grandchildren, Kirsten Brueske, Melissa Haller, Dana Jo (Michael) Clow, Dustin, William, Ryan, Anthony, Adam and Alex Rozmenoski, Kody, Tylor, and Kailey Lewis; step-grandson J.D. Smith; brothers, Raymond (Elizabeth), and Norman Rozmenoski; a sister Donna (Gerald) Sweet; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, his sister, Delores Litchfield, and an infant son.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Oct. 27, at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Black River Falls. Rev. Eric Bakken officiated. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons, Dustin, Ryan, Anthony, Adam and Alex Rozmenoski, Kody and Tylor Lewis. Honorary pallbearers were Benard Laufenberg, Donald Ripp, Phillip Millis, and Bob Yeskie.

The Buswell Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
