Ernest Kihn is recovering rapidly from the effects of the operation reported last week.

H. J. Brooks returned from a trip in the northern part of the state on Saturday. Mrs. Brooks who has been very sick is somewhat better.

Photographer T. O. Juve has rented a gallery at Greenwood and does business there on Wednesday of each week.

L. M. Sturdevant came up from Madison Friday. He drove over from Merrillan so as to be on hand for the cotton ball.

Orin Wilson of Humbird was in the city on Thursday last.

Mr. and Mrs. R. V. Carlton who have been living with their daughter, Mrs. Cornelius Wightman in the Town of Pine Valley during the winter, moved back to their haome in the city Saturday. We are glad to note that Mr. Carlton’s health has improved.

A progressive cinch party was given at T. Johnson’s last Friday evening in honor of his daughter Thomina’s seventeenth birthday. Refreshments were served and the evening was enjoyed by all. The lady’s prize, a silver envelope opener was won by Edna Neverman. Gant’s prize, silver nail file won by Will Huntley, and booby prize won by Grace Grow.
