Hattie Bone, of Merrillan, visited in this city during the week of the fair.

Lillie Dangers went to West Bend Thursday of last week to teach school.

Miss Belle Darling went to Augusta yesterday to attend the fair and visit friends.

Tome Lowe and Joe Morley went to La Crosse Saturday to see Cody’s Wild West show.

Mrs. F. D. Lindsley and daughter Bessie, of Fifield, are visiting friends in this city.

Harry Furgeson and wife, of Marshfield, were in this city attending the fair last week.

Anna Reber left this city Monday morning for Milwaukee, where she goes to attend school.

Dr. McCutcheon and family, of Thorp, visited this city last week and attended the county fair.

Mout Brown went to Milwaukee last week to attend the Democratic convention as a delegate.

Jay Holmes, Dan McKenzie and Bert Bradley, of Loyal, attended the county fair held in this city.

Miss Maggie Dickey went to Wausau Friday to take charge of her department in the city schools.

Our enterprising agricultural implement deals, Philip Berg has erected a grain warehouse in this city and is now about to build one in Granton. In fact he started the building Monday.

John Welch went to Chicago the latter part of last week and Monday night listed to a free silver speech by Bryan. He says he did not observed many gold bugs in the audience. Probably not.

C. G. Stow of Loyal, was in the city last week in attendance at the fair.

Arthur and Frank Vine, who have been up in the Lucde Flambeau Indian reservation with their father, who has a government position as tamer and instructor, are in this city on a visit to their former friends.

J. Stevens and family, of Spokeville, attended the fair held in this city last week. It is useless to say that he and Lon Brooks enjoyed the plays by the Wilson Theater Co., in the opera house and especially the ballet dancing.

Emery Bruley, one day last week, while lifting a log at his spokemill, injured his leg so badly that he has been compelled to lay up from duties for a while and is now seen hobbling around on the streets with the aid of a cane.
