About fourteen dogs turned up their toes in this city between Saturday night and Monday morning. Someone had put out bits of meat with poison on the meat dogs partook thereof with the above result.

James Bryden of Greenwood,, who has been in Tennessee and North Carolina to king over the country with a view of purchasing lands, arrived in this city Tuesday morning from his southern trip.

Maggie Etlert and Mae Beardsley went to Black River Falls Monday to attend the wedding of Miss Mary Wehinger, who was married at the home of Mrs. Julia Wehinger, Monday evening, to Chas. H. Schenk of Washburn.

Jas. L. Gates of Milwaukee, arrived in this city Tuesday morning to attend the county treasurer’s delinquent tax sale held at the court house on that day. Mr. Gates is a heavy purchaser of tax sale certificates at each sale held in Clark county, and has made considerable money buying certificates.

WILCOX: S. D. Gibson started the cheese factory last week.

Miss Ettie Gibson spend last week at Granton.

H. G. Gibson and Dan Davidson made a business trip to Chili Thursday.

The latest addition to the family of Mr. Chas Benedict is a daughter.

August Nameitt was seriously injured Monday while falling a tree. He had to be carried to the house and at this writing he is in a bad condition.

PLEASANT RIDE: C. Fall had a horse badly hurt by being kicked in the gambrel joint R. M. Campbell had to be called.

DAY: Mrs. L. Phillips of Augusta, visited friends in Levis the past week.

Mrs. J. W. McAdams has so far recovered from her illness that she was able to visit her parents Sunday.

Last week several head of horses and cattle were taken up from the highway in Levis. Let the good work go on.
