(Marriage - 14 Augl 1929) A very quiet but
interesting wedding took place at Unity, Wis. Wednesday, Aug. 14,
1929, at the Lutheran Parsonage at Unity, Rev. Olson reading the
marriage ceremony, when Miss Marion Meach, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Elmer Meach of Colby, Wis., became the bride of Mr. Leonard E.
Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. E.
J. Johnson of Unity. Mildred Johnson, sister of the groom, acted as
bridesmaid and the groom was attended by Melville Meach, the
bride's brother. The bride was
attired in a beautiful dress of flesh pink charamuese satin and
carried a shower bouquet of sweet peas. The bridesmaid wore a dress
of pale yellow georgette and carried a bouquet of sweet peas. Immediately after
the marriage ceremony, the bridal party repaired to the home of the
bride's parents, where a wedding reception was given, the home
being nicely decorated in pink and white for the occasion. The newlyweds will
be at home in Colby, Wis. until September, when they will make a
wedding trip to Milwaukee. The groom is employed at unity where he
is working on the new church which is being built. A few days ago, a
big shower was given by relatives at the groom's home in unity. The bride and
groom both are well and favorably known here and have many friends
who extend best wishes and congratulations. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
